Paint Calculator

Use this calculator to see how much paint is required for your painting project.

To measure the room perimeter, add up the base length of each wall of the room.  Example, your room has four walls with room dimensions of 4m x 5m.  The perimeter will be equal to 4m + 4m + 5m + 5m =18m.

Base length is the length of the base of the wall you are measuring.

Sloping wall is where a wall may have differing heights at each end.  To measure a sloping wall use the tallest height as the height measurement.

TIP: A new wall will need 1 undercoat and 2 finish coats. For an existing wall that has no patch ups, one coat should do. If the wall has been patched up, a minimum of 1 undercoat and 1 finish coat is required. If your chosen colour is of a dark shade, you may need more coats to cover the patch ups.
