Home Area EstimatingEstimating square metre of an area
Try this as an easy way of estimating:A standard doorway or a six-seater rectangular dining table is equal to approximately 1.5m2. So imagine the wall or space plastered with the dining tables and by doing a simple maths calculations you'll be able to work out the square metreage. Example: If your bathroom walls that need tiling adds up to 5 dining tables (of course excluding the areas not needing to be tiled) then the total area is 5 x 1.5m2 which is 7.5m2 |

Estimating the square meterage of a space or area can be challenging without the tape measure or if you are not used to it. This can often be a problem as in the trades industry, most things are costed out based on square metres.
